Biography

DEBORAH LEVINE is an award-winning writer, writing coach, opinion columnist, and crosscultural
communications consultant. She’s a Forbes Magazine top Diversity and Inclusion Trailblazer.
Brought up in the only Jewish family to have lived in Bermuda for 4 generations, Deborah
is fluent in both British and American English. She has 40 years experience in writing, publishing,
and editing, having worked as a writer and manager across the US. She is currently
headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

WRITING COACH
For more than a decade Deborah has coached memoir writers to brand themselves with impactful
stories which gives them visibility and credentials in their area of expertise. Her workbook, Write
that Book, Tell That Story, accompanies her coaching and provides an efficient process for writing.
She also served as Research Coordinator at the College of Engineering and Computer Science/
University of TN at Chattanooga (UTC) where she taught technical writing. She currently
gives seminars on “How to Use Storytelling in Marketing” at the Business College/UTC. In addition,
she is a judge of other writers for DeRose-Hinkhouse Awards.

AUTHOR
Deborah’s 20 books include memoirs, workbooks, how-to books, children’s books, and guides
for the workplace. Her book, Teaching Curious Christians about Judaism, was taken to the Vatican
as a gift for Pope Francis. She received the International Books for Peace Award in 2020 and
2021. Her books have been featured in major media outlets: Online Wall Street Journal, The
Chicago Tribune, The Tulsa World. Her book, Going Southern: The No-Mess Guide to Success in
the South, was featured on CSPAN-BOOKTV.

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Deborah founded the American Diversity Report e-zine (ADR) in 2006 and has continued as its
Editor-in-Chief. She coordinates hundreds of contributing writers from around the world, including
college interns. She has published over 1,200 articles and oversees ADR’s website, social
media presence, press releases, and podcast.

SCRIPT WRITER
Deborah is the author of a radio theater play and creator of the documentary based on it: Untold,
Stories of a World War II Liberator. It’s a Winner in 16 film festivals and was broadcast worldwide
by Jewish Life TV on ROKU. In addition, she is the author of a TV Pilot script, The Liberator’s
Daughter, which is a Winner in 31 film festival competitions.

JOURNALIST
Deborah’s articles are published in academic journals and popular magazines: European Women
in Construction & Engineering, Harvard Divinity School Bulletin, The Bermudian Magazine,
and Journal of Public Management & Social Policy. She wrote for The Huffington Post and is an
opinion columnist for The Chattanooga Times Free Press. She is a National Catholic Press Association
awardee.

CROSS-CULTURAL LEADERSHIP
Deborah is a pioneer in developing leadership skills in communication, conflict management,
and wise decision making across diverse cultures. Her textbook, Matrix Model Management System:
Guide to Cross-Cultural Wisdom, is based on the principles of cultural anthropology and
urban planning. Her cross-cultural leadership development includes international industries in
the U.S. South including Volkswagen, Nissan, International Paper, and Kimberly Clark.
